Hi there, looking to buy a new bundle to upgrade my work PC (used for photo editing and graphic design)...

was looking at...
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-029-OB

The PC only has a standard power supply and case/cooling, PC will be running from 8am till 6pm each day... will I need a better cooling system?

basically, as my main work PC I dont want to be having problems left right and center, should I just get a bundle that isnt overclocked... not sure if I will see the benefit from an overclocked system, against the risk of hardware failures in the future?

sorry, never had an overclocked system, not sure if its for me!?

Cheers!

Ben.

Hi benbull, yes you will be better of with the OCUK bundle because at 4.0GHz when your editting, etc, in Photoshop, it will be a lot faster. But first of all can you tell us the make-model of your power supply as it might not be able to coupe with the OCUK bundle + your grapics card also what make-model is that? Are you thinking of updating your grahics card in the furture? as this will be taking into account as well regarding the power supply, how old is your case what make is it regarding cooling your OCUK bundle, if you need a new one OCUK do some nice cases from about £40 -

Cases - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=7

OCUK build and test thier bundles and sell quite a few, as regarding failure you could just have a stock PC system and it could fail at any time, its the amount of voltage you put through your CPU that kills them and OCUK stick to a safe limit to the amout of voltage they put through the CPU. Why don't you phone them up and ask them l'm sure they will help you out, my CPU is overclocked to 4.2GHz[i7920] and its been at that for just over 17 months now with no problems at all.

Hope this helps you out. :)
