Okay guys I need a new game or several!

I have recently played and to various degrees finished and/or gotten bored of the following:

FEAR, FarCry, COD, COD2, Freespace, Freespace 2, HL2, HL2 Ep1, Morrowind, Oblivion, Freelancer and DarkStar One.

I would like either a new FPS with a good story and good gameplay, or perhaps an arcade style combat sim. Basically a jump-into-craft-and-blow-stuff-up-with-big-scary-gun/laser.

I borrowed my brother's copy of Lock-On earlier this week and quite frankly I can't be doing with it. I want to play the game, not spend 5 weeks of my life learning to fly first!

I am not limited to just FPS or Flight sim but I don't want an online game. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated as I need something new to play before I go insane

If you're into FPS's and haven't played them already then you really must try:

- Serious Sam
- Serious Sam : Second Encounter
- Serious Sam 2

The 1st two are getting a little old now, but they rate very highly in the fun/playability stakes (IMHO)

Quake 4?
I wouldnt install bf2 as it is now, the current patch is a joke.
Maybe the 1.4 patch will bring me and many others back to the game, but from what i hear its not that great.

Played it on the PS2 and thought it was gay. It was like playing simon, press these buttons in order, totally boring. And I did complete it too.
