Hi,

I have my watercooled G0 to 2.9ghz on water with a max load of 33oC.

however i get instability when it boot at 3ghz, any suggestions?

im on an in9 32x max

northbridge voltage? northbridge strap? Mem speed? Mem timings?

need to know all the settings before we can say something is wrong.

On some boards dont you need to lock the pci and pci E speeds as well?

Also it probably needs a north bridge voltage boost. Id be really ****** off if i spent all that money on water cooling and got a cpu taht wouldn't overclock to make it worth while lol.

It's most likely your board.

Most of the 680i boards are useless for overclocking Quads.

Sorry joker. i wasn't aware taht was really considered swearing.

Are you running the RAM at stock timings (ie 5-5-5-15) if so then if it is running faster you could try to slacken the timings or have it unlinked from the CPU.

Im in the same sort of possition. Im at 2.9Ghz and runs perfectly fine and cool but whenever I take my 6300 to the 3.0Ghz level it just dosent boot. Would I need to increase or decrease some voltages somewhere? Also out of curiosity, how much differance in games would getting the CPU to 3.0 - 3.2 Ghz make?

System Specs

Gigabyte P35 DS3P rev 1.1 on F6
6300 @ 2.9Ghz with Tuniq Tower
4GB of OCZ 6400
Vista 64bit

Anything else needed?

Not much difference in games unless you had an 8800 SLI setup, or run at really low res, at 1280x1024 or above even an E6300 at stock is enough to power an 8800GTS fully in most games.

heres a screenshot of my cpuz and temps my board is undervolting :D dunno if thats good or bad
