I've just bought a new BenQ LED monitor, I've got a power cable which I've used on several CRTs but this is my first LCD, am I okay to use the same power cable for this monitor?
I've never seen a non uniform external power cable myself. Like the guy before said, if it fits it works. Theres VERY few instances where something that fits in a socket isnt meant for that. With the possible exception of usb in ethernet ports...
Only time this isn't advisable is when the fuse in the old plug is greatly different from the fuse in the new one. Doesn't usually happen with monitors tho - unless you're going from a really tiny low energy one to a huge one? Check how many amps the fuse is and how many the new monitor uses and you should be ok.
