Just booked up for my mates stag do and was wandering if anyone else has been on here ?

What kind of things can we expect there apart from lots and food and drink and tips for it would be greatly appreciated.

Ma and a few friends are looking at going this year, any one been before?
What was it like?

Can't wait to go, who did you book with?

Im not sure who we booked it through cause someone else did it, but we got flights, breakfast, shuttles to the festival and Camping with tents provided for 253 each, will find out for you who we booked it with.

I went to the last one - didn't book because we just got a minibus and stayed in a student hall with some friends. Pretty awesome although you need to get there really early in the morning to be guaranteed seats in one of the major tents.

We just missed out on getting seats but shared a table with some randoms - turned out they were neo-nazis! They started saying things like "so... london, not good now but 200 years ago, when it was all white... it was better ja?" Then they punched one of my friends because we apparantly "like black people too much". Then they got chucked out by loads of security people.

Apart from that it was great fun - just don't expect to remember anything after about lunchtime.

Went every year (many times) from 2000-2003 :)

As pointed out it's best to get there early so you can get a seat. You can't smoke inside the tents anymore so that is going to be a complete nightmare if any of you smoke as getting in and out of the tents is crazy.

I managed to break my leg one year, on a spinning disc which they did boxing on, and a couple of weeks later drank so much that my heart went into 'atrial fibrilation' and I had to have cardioversion. But don't worry too much about that, I've since found out it would have happened at some point anyway as I have a minor heart condition.

My favourite tents are the Hacker-Pschorr one or the Schottenhammer ones for the most 'traditional' evenings. Most of the tourists go to the HofBrau tent, you're bound to see a few aussie ladies lifting their tops up there on the table, plus loads of drunken tourists.

After the fest is over maybe head over to Ostbahnhof to the party area there, there are loads of clubs/bars all in one area. If you're a bit older then go to Schwabing, take the U6 to either Gieselerstrasse or Muenchner Freiheit station and you'll see a nice road of bars and restaurants.

Cheers Wicksta, sounds like you've had some good times out there :)

MathewS - we booked the flights through ebookers and the camping through topdecktours.co.uk

Booked nice and early! I want to go this year as well. May turn out to be next year though... :(

Yeh it is pretty early but the later we leave it the more expensive it gets, or so were told, Just need to figure out some things to do to the stag while were there :)
