OK so I have an old amp that I want to use with some old (yet relatively new/modern) hi-fi speakers (the speakers that we had for the amp previously have now broken). On the back of the amp, there are 4 speaker outputs, 2 left, and 2 right, each with a + and - bit. The speakers come with a phono cable for the main part of the speaker, and a bare bit of wire for the subwoofer. I have posted pictures to clarify my meaning. Could anyone give me basic instructions as to what I need to buy and do to get these two working together.

Think I may aswell try cutting off the phono connector, even if it is a temporary measure. How easy would it be to put a phono connector back on in the future? Also I was confused by the fact that on the back of the speaker it says "Front Speaker (High Frequency): Impedance 8 ohms, Back Speaker (Low Frequency): Impedance 4 ohms" but on the amp it says "Caution: Rated Speaker Impedance 8 ohms". Does that mean I can only use the high frequency bit with the amp?
