and i cant seem to find it anywhere on the 'net I've even tried kingstons own site http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/parts_disc.asp

But sadly nothing i was given this and i'm extremely curious as to what COULD be on this little thing.

so any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I can dig up, its 16mb memory for a Panasonic cfv-141, which may be a very old digital camera...

Certainly looks like compact flash thats what i use in my fuji s3 Pro camera. go to a camera shop with onshop self photo printing and see if it has any photos on it.

do you think the machines in an asda or tesco would have the ports on them? I never really paid much attention to the other ports

almost forgot thanks for the info, I can get it inside my laptop but I wouldn't get it back out without opening up my laptop, now even though i can do that with total confidence I wouldn't be happy to as I'm quite comfortable with my setup now. Do you know where I can find the pin-outs?

Yeah compact flash is still used today, could also buy a cheap USB compact flash reader.

Where would i get one of those?? Also I don't own anything that would need the memory card so it might be a useful investment to keep a backup file on there or something along those lines

There's one right there... its setup to go into a 3.5" drive slot but i wouldn't bother just plug it in when you need it... Cant mention competitors so that link will have to do you.

16mb ? seriously for 5 quid you can get an 8gb USB Flash drive.. I have a few CF cards for my oldest camera, id spend the money to see whats on there but as for using it... meh :(

I would have thought the card readers in the supermarket machines would havea CF slot... id try there first tbh. then buy a USB stick :)

i have plenty of usb stick i just was curious as to what was on it im gonna find out next time i go shopping. lets hope there's nothing incriminating as i just remembered it wasn't given i found it in the cellar when i moved in

That's not that old! Christ I've got some EDO ram kicking about somewhere that's about 8MB, it's literally CRAMMED on both sides. Looks ridiculous :)

It's definitely a CF card, don't think the standards every really changed so not sure why it wouldn't fit TBH :/

Edit: A quick look on Wiki says it did in actual fact:

Dimensions 43×36×3.3 mm (Type I) 43×36×5 mm (Type II)
