They are beautiful, so nice to type on as well, but im wondering if they are still available to buy new/or as new as i would love to have one when i get my macbook in january for university.

The university use them in the mac-labs alongside a Microsoft Intellimouse (or whatever its called) but the keyboard is so nice to type on, spacious, as well as slick and the response to my fingers is something i have never felt on a keyboard before.

Typing in a breeze as with any keyboard but this is nice.

So, does anyone still have theirs? Do they use it or do you prefer the Aluminium chiclet keyboards that ship with macs/bought separately?

Just looking for an opinion as i have always used a windows pc, and these macs are impressive.

Want one now :(

I've got one of them, plus an aluminium wired keyboard, and the smaller aluminium wireless keyboard.

You're right, the old one is nicer to type on, and the lack of numpad on the wireless keyboard is a pain in the bum!

However, the wireless one looks the best by far.

Ah i must agree.

But i love these keyboards, but then love the new wireless aluminium keyboard that you can get :)

I have the wired and wireless aluminium keyboards as well as the one built into my Macbook and they are by far the best keyboard I have ever typed on. I can't speak specifically for the old models, but judging Apple for keyboards in general they're very nice. You should be able to pick one of them up fairly cheap off an online auction website.
