OLD Be Customer.... Back to BE or O2?

I was a BE customer until the end of July 2009, at which point I had to cancel because on an overseas assignment. The cancellation fee was £30 refundable if I rejoined.

I was on the 8MB unlimited service @ £13.50/Month, though due to my line quality I could only achieve 2 – 2.5 MB max.

I was really happy with BE’s service. Even though I could only get 2.5 MB down, I would virtually download/upload constantly - 24/07 – 7 days a week at full speed without any complaint from BE.

Now I’m due back in country within the next fortnight and I’m wondering if I should reactivate or try O2.

Looking at the package options available now, things have changed.
The Be Value 8MB package is cheaper at £7.50/Month, but is capped @ 40 GB. NOT an option. However, I feel it’s certainly possible to call them and get the old deal of 8MB unlimited service @ £13.50/Month reinstated.

However, I see O2 have an 8MB unlimited service at £12.50/Month or £7.50/Month for O2 Mobile customers, which I am.

The O2 option of £7.50/Month 8MB Unlimited seems very attractive to me, as I heard it’s essenially the same Network as BE. If it's exactly the same but cheaper that's great, but is it?

The most important thing for me is to have the same level of hassle free service as I enjoyed previously.

What do you guys think? Back to BE or O2?

On that length of line I doubt being able to switch your profile will be of any benefit. Unless you want the static ip or tech support/forums, O2.
