Just started a new job and cleaning out the Network services room that has turn into a garbage dump as the pervious employees dump all the broken/unwanted equipment around them.
While rummaging around looking for a switch which was apparently in there someonewhere I found the biggest Notebook I'd seen in years.
I've found a D900T from DPC computers... Its massive. Apparently same casing as Alienware used to use.
Its got 2 blooming opticals above each other for god sake! And what laptop needs 5 - yes 5 exhaust fans? Pretty sure it would have been a hefty gaming machine (and expensive) back in its day.
I've not got the time right now to go taking it apart and looking at it, but my question is:
"can it be upgraded? (only asking as its so damn big, figure might be an upgraded board) and is it worth anything?"
Edit: I just popped off the 5 back panels and found a full 775 socket under the hood, with more copper heatpipes than most quads have! (4x) Also had 4x sodim slots, and 2x IDE hdds as well as the graphics under a nice big heatsink - didn't see which is was. O and it weighs a ton!
