Old car adverts

I've just come across an old advert for the Renault Fuego GTX. It's not a UK ad, but you can't have it all.

I've had 3 Fuegos (one GTX and two Turbos), and am a bit crazy for them (talk of the ultimate mod - I once had a set of clear indicators imported from Argentina for one of mine). Unfortunately don't have one at the moment though.

Anyone else have copies of the adverts used when your car was new?

My dad used to have a volvo 340, i love the advert when they jumped it off a carpark and i think they had another involving a piano, wish i could find them again

I remember that advert! Trying to show how tough it was.

My Dad had a Volvo 360

It was a proper tank.

Indeed we had two in total both did over 130k first one was still on its original front disks, non needed a clutch change and they never broke down.

I had a volvo 360!!! First car! I am going to have to make a thread about it at some point. It was a GLS......electric sunroof....manual windows!! lmao

I think ours was a GLE. A really nasty green colour and eventually ended up with moss growing in the window seals

It's the first car I can really remember, I used to sit in the drivers seat and listen to music when I was a wee nipper :cool:

That fuego ad was quite comical... ohhh it has a rear wash wipe :eek:

I have, on tape for a film somewhere, the MK1 Clio advert... nicole...papa! etc

You have to love nostalgia
