I have 4 old motherboards ranging from ones that had Pentium 133s on to AMD K6 2 450s. Also things like savage 32mb graphics cards, a matrox mystique 220 card, aureal vortex and a bag of memory from 4mb simms to 128mb dimms.

What do I do with it?

a. Throw it all out
b. Take the processors and less chunky bits off and sell on ebay
c. Sell it all on ebay as a job lot of old computer bits
d. Sell individually

I dont really want to mess around doing descriptions for it all so im thinking option b in one big lot.

Help me decide as i must have paid thousands of it all over the years

If it were me id go for Option C - sell it together as one lot (selling as individuals you may get a little more, but its more hassle as well).

I cannot test it (because i dont have rest of the computer parts to make parts work) but they did work before i put them into the cupboard

also things like cpu's are missing the thermal paste where i took heatsinks off.

Should i say tested anyway as they did all work perfect before?

That would imply that you have physically tried and tested these parts prior to sale (i.e. recently), which is quite different from saying they were in working condition when last used in 200x or 199x.

I would try to build a working machine out of it, and sell that machine on eBay.

Sell the rest as seperates. Ie: a pair of matching RAM, graphic card, etc.

basmic that would be too much hassle.

Im selling the following

4 motherboards
pentium 133
amd k62 450
amd k6 something
a bag of simms
a few 64mb dimm modules
3 awe sound cards
aureal vortex 2 sound card
voodoo 3
matrox mystique
savage 4 32mb card
usb to ide connection cable
sipix 640x480 digicam/web cam

how does around £30 sound? more or less?

also what title should i give it on ebay

Jumbo Bundle of Classic Computer Parts, Ideal for Enthusiasts and Collectors (Not Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athlon 64)

lol, lame but still.

I think you could make about £40 out of it.

You would get a lot more, if you sold seperately. Even it does take an hour to create all the auctions.

heres the final list of whats going on

4x16mb Simms
2x 8mb Simms
Voodoo 3 pci graphics card
Savage 32mb graphics card
Matrox mystique 220 4mb graphics card
S3 trio graphics card
Aureal vortex 2 sound card
2x sound blaster awe 64 sound cards
2x sound blaster 16 sound cards
USB 2.0 ide adapter (missing power connection)
2x AMD K62 450 processors
Intel pentium 133 processor
Amd K5 100mhz processor
Intel socket 7 motherboard
Agpro socket 7 motherboard
Via elite mt socket 7 motherboard
Intel AB-PR5 socket 7 motherboard
PS2 extension cable
Various cables

I really cant be arsed breaking it all up because i have another 14 auctions to do!

How about selling them as lots then? Ie: lot of 4 motherboards, 4 CPUs, etc?

That would break it down into about 7 auctions, a lot less than than 19. ;)
