Old computer to get rid of

Ok, Im on sure this is the place or even if its allowed (so delete mods if not)

My brother bought a Dell XPS 420 a while ago but it looks like it had a problem with the RAID. Being the muppet that he is instead of fixing the problem he just went out and bought another PC. He has now given me the old box.

What I want to know is is whats the best way to sell it?(ebay or other?) Should I strip it for parts or sell it whole to someone who knows how to fix the raid problem?

Any help would be great.

Umm good question
Im pretty sure it is a q6600 with 2gb Ram 2x320gb drives.

The rest im not too sure on.

start posting on here and after 250 posts you can sell it on the members market. Depending on how this discussion goes mods might delete though.

Fix it and keep it, still a capable machine.

Check out the deals today for 60gb SSDs. 2 of those in RAID. Score.

do you know what type of cpu it has?

as well as what is the PSU wattage and what graphics card it has?

It's not one of the best systems around but can handle general computing.

Lol I have a 2500k Sandy bridge I just built and he bought another one, So i really dont have a use for it. The only thing i'd consider is taking teh hdd out and using them as back up drives.

Well I am saving for a Graphics card better than the 8800GTS I have in it at the moment so i'd rather not just give it away

download CPU-Z.

it should tell you the name and type of all the parts on the computer except for the case and PSU

I would but like I said in OP it has a raid problem. Its also in the attic collecting dust
