old elgar £20 notes!

hi everyone.

Like a lemon I have ended up with a old £20 note. has anyone taken one to the bank in the last few days?
I know they were still taking them after the deadline but i need to know about very recently as in yesterday. I know BoE takes them but that means post and hassle. Has anybody had any experience?
I know i will find out tomorrow but i would love to know right now. Any one?

i feel a bit better now. although back in july alliance leicester would not take them and told me to go to lloyds (and its my bank!)t#**#@s

evening all

Took the note to lloyds today no problem and they took it without batting an eyelid.
Did not take it to my own bank (santander) as the last time they didnt take it.
So the moral is barring santander and the post office all the other banks take them and the BofE will take them forever.
