Hi,
Since the 70s my family visited an Italian restaurant on Brewer Street called Topo Gigio's, but they closed down a couple of years ago and we haven't found anywhere in London to replace it.
The food was excellent traditional Italian (pastas, meats and fish no pizza) with really friendly staff who made you feel like you'd come home every visit (they'd remember you even after a year's absence) and after a google this place in Surrey is almost exactly what we want....

but does anyone know somewhere similar in central London they would happily recommend?
