Old fps game for old lappy?

Thanks for the thread mate, I've been needing the same thing.

Tried to search on DX7 games with no joy... few suggestions in here though! :)

uhh even better playing against real people.

Come to the Demon servers they're still running 1.31
 
deus ex 1 & system shock 2 if you fancy something more cerebral than run n gun.

I also just saw a video of some guy do a system shock 2 speed run in 32 minutes :eek:
 
Red Neck Rampage is a good fps for a old old system. Damn funny as well. :)

Another vote for HL 1 i played it first on a p233 with a 4 megs video card.

I played a bit of deathmatch yesterday looked clunky but ahh.... the game play was still there

Q3 should be ok too with low grahics


As far as racing games go you cant beat GP2

As someone else said on page 1 you cant beat the feel of these golden oldies BF2142 is ok but its a lot of show and not much go, like a 1.2 nova with a body kit

Wow I missed out a lot of games it seems :eek: , I've only played wolfenstein and doom and jumped straight to mohaa, as between them, I only played sim games and RTS games at that time, my hdd is unfortunatly full with all those games, but i suppose I can just try em, delete em once done and try next game.
 
They were fun games, with usable gfx considering the time and the hardware available. Besides true gamers dont care what gfx are like as long as the actual core of the game is good and fun. Least thats my opinion.
 
get commandos 2 for it, takes about 20mins to master the controls (i didn't have a manual because i got it on steam!), but its well worth it

not an fps, more of a c&c mixed with solid snake kinda game
 
Ive played Original Quake on my 300Mhx laptop and works ok at low settings, even played UT99 with software rendering and that worked ok'ish.

If they dont work. You've always got Solitaire :P

Already got ut goty edition, works fine on ''high'', 640x480, hardware 3d :D .




Tbh laptop specs aren't a problem now i've noticed, the problem is hdd space, I think I'll have to hunt for a bigger as 12 gb hdd, more like 80 or 100 gb I need, as just found out even more stuff I can try on my lappy, and all the stuff will never fit on it, also seem to have found old games soemwhere in my room ( a full sleeve of 20 of em or so ...), and shareware game pack cd's, so basicly my problem now is, how to make it all fit on the hdd lol.

Whats wrong? Unreal tourney, hl1, cs 1.6, doom&quake, etc all are fine games.



Still, keep em coming people. when I get a bigger hdd, I might need even more games :D .
 
how about GTA 1 and 2? THey should both work fine on it? Both amazing games.

You can get them free now i think.

Also, what about Starcraft?
