Old G3 20gb dock fits the touch !

Just found my old ipod and dock, and it seems it's the same size as the touch, so it fits perfectly. That'll do nicely, should save the back of the touch getting scratched whilst charging.

On a related note, I've just connected my old ipod but it's not charging or doing anything. Is it just nackered cos it's not been used for so long?

Is it connected to a mains charger or USB? Sometimes I find they need the mains to kick start them.

As for the dock thing I'm using my 4th Gen dock with my iPod classic perfectly well

The 3rd gen ones didn't come with docks, nor did the 4th gen B&W models. The first ones with docks were the 4th gen colors, though older models fit into said docks.

The 3G and early 4Gs came with a decent bundle of accessories unlike the current range. I got a dock, slip case, wired remote and a charger with mine. Oh and iTunes on CD - remember that?
