Hi

Is there a good PC for old timers?

I'm not wanting lights or LEDs of fancy "showy" cases. Just a good PC for games like BG3 and Fortnite and Elite:Dangerous.

Doesn't need to be super quiet, as I'm half deaf anyway. Case lights are just a distraction I could do without.

Solid, reliable, stable and competent is what I'm looking for.

Does such an "old timers" machine exist?

Bard.

Welcome aboard, yes. What's your budget? What resolution, 1080p? I just fitted Noctua fans to my system, no lights on them :)

Budget around £2k for just the tower, want reliability over performance. Eg, I'd play BG3 at low settings for a more fluid game as I do now than all the bells and whistles.

Any usage other than games? What is the resolution of your monitor? You've chosen an unfortunate time to return to gaming as new GPUs from Intel and Nvidia are due later this year. The good new is that lower-end GPUs offer very good performance, as long as you don't want ray tracing.
