Old games have border in Fullscreen- Windows 10

I'm trying to play Morrowind on my Windows 10 PC but when the game runs in fullscreen, it still includes a border. This only happens to old games so I assume it is a DirectX 7 and 8 thing? Does anyone know how to get around it? This seems to have been a problem on Windows 10 since release and is bloody annoying!

When you're in the game change the resolution to anything else then change it back to the one you originally had it on, that should fix it. If not then try installing the Morrowind Grapahics Extender mod on the Nexus and use borderless windowed mode.
