I often think back about some older games that I'd like to play again but worry about them being nowhere near as good as I remember - not to mention I'd have to find the time to play them.

I quite fancy trying these again for starters:

Little Big Adventure 2
Incoming
Total Annihialation

Anyone else got the same reservations? :D

I'd argue that LBA2 and TA *ARE* as good as you remember. Incoming has aged somewhat more apparently (tbh I never rated it that highly, but each to there own) due to it's genre.

Super mario world. Cant beat good old fashioned 2d mario it was amazing. All the 2d mario games tbh bar possibly number 2 as that was a little bit ass.

I'm not sure it is about games being 'as good as you remember' so much as games just getting dated. I tried to play Thief the other day, but just couldn't as it had dated so badly. No doubt it is still great though, but times have changed.

Treasure Island Dizzy

Chuckie egg

Elite

Rainbow Islands

Project X

Walker

Another world

Star trek Amiga PD

Starglider

Vroom

Stardust

Skidmarks

Buggy Boy

Soccer kid

Super frog

Aladdin

The Lion King

Fighter Bomber

Desert strike

Zool

I could go on and on but these were some of my favourites.

I have only just got into PC gaming in the last 2 years so I don't really know any of the older games apart from Chips Challenge which I loved on our old 486 back in the day but Id love to play Cannon Fodder from the SNES again but this time it could be one of those greenlight games on Steam.

I bought a N64 recently solely for goldeneye but it was so dated, I enjoyed the maps and the themetune but it just did not do it for me.

I then bought a snes and love it, mario kart, mario world, etc are all epic and it looks good even on a 50" plasma
