I'm kinda old fashioned, so my requirements are equally "traditional"

What I need

Midi case
ATX
Support for an optical drive
Good front/top ports, i.e. USB 3.x ports at the front and some audio ports. type c would be great to have too. This is going to sit at the side of the desk, making access to the rear a little difficult.
Comes with enough fans to be sufficient to get going, hopefully not to noisey.
(Be nice if it came with a decent PSU, but that's probably pushing it)
Good access
Dark colour

What I don't need, but will take if necessary to get the above
See-thru panels....I don't need to see the inside
LEDs...I don't need a light show.
White.

Budget ?....I'm outta touch so not really sure whats reasonable, lets say tops £120, but would prefer less expensive.

Can some kinds souls point me towards a few candidates that are worthy ?

Cheers

You are really going to struggle to meet all your needs they are unrealistic.

It looks like only low end cases tend to offer optical drive support even then it's very limited cases which wont need your other needs. (external drives can be had for £10-15 these tend to be slim ones)

They don't offer good PSU with cases that is very old thing they used to do even then they tended to be rubbish.

Just switch to USB external DVD drive

A case like Silverstone Fara is nice and you can purchase model with different side panels plus colour you prefer added bonus it has good airflow and good size so shouldn't have any issues fitting multi drives etc.

Case £50, DVD drive £15, A few fans £10, just leaves PSU which you didn't mention your system so no one knows what you may require on that side.

Regarding the rear connections you could get extras like USB hub etc so you have access on say your desk.

The challenge for me with USB optical is that it unnecessarily takes up a USB connector and they always seem to be in the way. I guess I'm just a dinosaur and I like my built-in optical drive :)

Define R6 has all your requirements but £20 over,

Thank you for your suggestion. The fractal one looks particular good to me as it has 5 ports on the front, include a type-c gen 2 port.
