So, I've got a new monitor, and my old one has been passed along to my mum to replace her old one on the work computer she uses. However, after plugging it all in, I can still only select either 800x600 or 1024x768. I then noticed that it has a 16Mb ATI rage 128 ultra graphics card which is a little on the ancient side. Is there any way to get it running in its natice 1440x900 resolution, or would it need a new GPU for that?

Thanks!

Checking ATI's website, the latest 128 drivers are from 2001, but I don't see any mention of the ultra on the page. There's a long list of cards it does support, but no ultra, so I'm a little hesitent to install anything like that on her work PC, if it stops working then our business would have some problems :3

if it stops working, just restart in safemode and remove the driver

or take an acronis image of it first :D
