old hdd drive in new pc advice

Hi i have installed my old pc in my new build so i can remove a few things like pics and music and then wipe it and use it on my other pc.The problem is i cant view or play anything on it.The pc it came from was running xp and this pc is using visata 64 would that be the problem and if so is there a way around it or just format the drive and unlucky lol.

This happened to me but with two vista drives, I was able to read it and had to navigate through a few folders and then i found my documents. So you cant see it? or it wont let you open it?

i can see everything but asks for permission and it wont open it saying something about cant find the file, but i can click them say a doc file but wont open it media file cant find it thats basicaly what it says.

Yes i am i have to go through security settings to see files but i have now found the folders but wont let me copy them as i dont have permission.

I dont have permission to acces the file location.I have tryed everything i can think of or been told to do by the pc security as admin lol.I am now at a loss.

They are jpeg files and im trying to open them with windows gallery.

Hmm try right clicking on them and run as adminstrator. If not i cant think of anything else.
Off Topic: Do you play football manager? do you post on the football manager forums on Neoseeker?

i have got some over now but tryed doing others the same way and no go grrrr.
No dont play football manager i like footy but im a wow nut lol prob a diff berson m8.
