Old I tunes account ?

Guys ,excuse my ignorance here .

I have an old I tunes account that I can get into no probelms but have not used for a year , it has some music tracks and some apps that I used with the I pod touch I had .

Now I have just re-insatlled I tunes , can access with passwords the account and I can even see under account details the dowloaded music and apps I have ,

Simmple question how do I re load these paid for tracks and apps onto my hard drive ?

You cannot download music... you are supposed to back that up.*

You can re-download any apps though.

* You can write directly to Apple and ask for a one off re-download of your tracks. This is exceptional but I have had good luck when I lost a week of purchases before backup when a HDD exploded.
