Old laptop battery replace?

We've an old laptop Asus UX310u i3-7100

Battery report is saying 29-42% but I think it's causing the laptop not to start up intermittently. Worth replacing the battery?

If "causing the laptop but to start up" should have said "causing the laptop not to start up" then probably not, I have had plenty of laptops that started up fine each and every time without a battery connected at all (including laptops with a battery inside the case rather than easily swappable).

I would guess the power switch is more likely to be the issue (emphasis on guess)

I meant startup on battery.

I got it running eventually. Window 11 install got stuck in a boot loop. But after a lot of effort got a local account etc set up using Rufus. Seems ok.

I'll probably just give it away.
