Old laptop IDE drive

So i've got an old drive from a busted laptop and would like some of the data off it. I think it uses a type of IDE cable but it's not the standard sizing for a 3.5" drive. Is there any adapter i can get to go from this smaller drive to normal sized IDE

Sure.
On Eb*y you can buy adapter for plugging IDE 2.5" (it's what you want), IDE 3.5" and SATA to USB port for about 10 quids AFAIR.

I've paid £3 on the bay for a new 2.5" IDE caddy before.

you can buy an adapter so you can fit it internally, its just a cable, shouldnt be expensive.
