I'm trying to upgrade the memory in an old Viglen Dossier si laptop. I can't find any information on this particular Dossier model, though there is info on other ones. According to cpu-z the it has two memory slots, but only one 128MB module in at the minute. The memory is sdram pc100. Does anyone know how much memory I will be able to upgrade it to? For example, could I just get 2 x 256MB pc100 laptop modules and it should work? Are there any different types of pc100 memory that I should be aware of? I'd appreciate any advice anyone could give me on this. Thanks.

Thanks for finding that for me, I've spent ages looking and couldn't get anything on this model. I think I'll just buy some pc100 modules and give it a try. The memory is double-sided though unfortunately - I guess I'll have to try and get 2 x 256 double-sided modules if it's even possible.

you can put something thin between the modules to stop them touching if required.....my laptop has some thin plastic sheeting between the sticks..... as it was when stock :D
