Hi all,

First post and all that!!

So im looking to upgrade my current laptop, had it for 7 years now:

Current spec is:

Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-3740QM (2.70GHz) 6MB
8GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 4GB)
2 x NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 680M - 4.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

Half a decent system back in the day.... but im looking at upgrading the memory now to this:

Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G32C16S4B 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Laptop Gaming Memory Kit, 16GB (8GB x2), CL16

*** Competitor info removed ***

Can someone confirm that this will work
The Crucial website will not recognise the laptop...

Thanks All

You can't put DDR4 ram in a DDR3 slot. You need two 8gb DDR3 laptop memory sticks.

Also, don't think you're allowed to post links to competitors products.

thanks Bug,
