Old Laptop Overheating

Hi guys n galls

Got an old Packard Bell laptop igo series 6203 (celly 2gh 20x100mhz) the idle temp sits around 56oC and the keyboard is constantly warm to the touch. if it goes over 63oC it will just turn itself off

my question is does anyone know where i can find the repair manual so i can take this badboy apart and give it a good clean out/modify the cooling?

I would give it a cleanout, especially the fan heatsink. I worked for Acer once and a lot of dirt build-up was around the fan.

had a dig, and the best i could find was a packard bell ftp site with loads of folders that claim to be various service manuals. of course, all in code/nonsensical (to me) so couldn't find the file that you'd need.

are packard bell still in business?
