old laptop upgrades

Hi

i am look at an old lappy for ppt presentations and Ms offices duties only.
I have 250gb hdd waiting.

looking inside only 512mb pc3200 ddr400, there is a spare slot, but looking difficult to remove old stick

its running sempron, 2800 i think


how can i work out what i can upgrade max ram and cpu to?
looking for mobo specs but cannot see anything obvious

hi i think i have found a code for the mobo

255KI1 P/N: 37-UH0000-01

does anyone know the max cpu and ram i can apply to this board, or where i can find out, i have googled and fleabay results seem to be the top of the day.

Hi,more info on the laptop would be helpful. Memory could be found by going to Crucial and having the auto scan tool do its job if you wanted .

i have got the motherboard out now, it is a 255KI.

having done that iim wondering can i upgarde the board?
