Old M2N SLI Deluxe questions

Hey guys, got this old motherboard, tx650w psu, 2gb ram and a hard drive but no cpu.

I want to get a cpu as cheap as I possibly can but I'm unsure if this motherboard is am2 or am2+, on the motherboard itself it just says socket am2 but on the Asus website it says AM2/AM2+

Anyway, any cpu recommendations?

im not 100% but i had one of these and may still just have the cpu in a box if i have u can have it will check when home

free if it works mate no good to me not sure if its the right socket just looked in my box of bits its this one below i had so many old bits lying round got rid of a load of stuff last year. cant tell from lookin at it perhaps you or someone can identify it

and if itll do the job i can post from work so no probs

Thats an old Socket a (462) T-Bird or Duron, can't remember the core shapes, no use to him.

ah dammit well was worth a look i guess got rid of so much stuff couldnt rememebr what i had left never mind worth a try
