Old Macbook Pro Problem

I have an old non intel Macbook Pro (was called a Powerbook when I bought it).

Everything works fine apart from the keyboard. Sometimes it will work flawlessly and then sometimes (probably about 50% of the time) the comma, l, o, 0 and 9 keys won't work (all in the same row).

I don't think anything was spilled on it but has anyone had a similar experience to this?

If not can they point me in the right direction of a guide to lifting the keys and trying to clean them?

Cheers

So it's a PowerBook G4 then, not an "old MacBook Pro".

Sounds like a faulty keyboard. Stripping it down will likely just make it worse. Get a replacement part (try the popular auction site) or just use an external keyboard via USB.

Most Mac stripdown instructions can be found on iFixit.

Thanks for answering.

I think I'll either take it into the Apple Store and see what kind of price they would want to fix it.

I took one of the keys away and even just pressing the rubber bit below it would still not register the key on screen.
