I bought this and used it on my moms computer and it worked fine powered on and typed fine (my moms computer is a very old setup).
My computer listed in the signature - the keyboard does nothing - no power, and cant type. I did take this back to my place on an airplane but I dont think it got damaged in the baggage.
I plugged this keyboard into a couple laptops I have here and both of them said does not recognize the usb device but at least they acknowledged it.
weird thing is I previously had used microsoft natural keyboard elites with no problems - I had stopped using them as they broke and needed a new one so used a different keyboard atm.
I have tired a couple things I saw online -
1# change a reg edit and a i804 start to 1 (something like that)
2# checked out the bios and looked at the usb setting and changed the legacy support to auto from on
neither of these did anything so changed them back.
I paid a bit of money for this as its new and a vintage keyboard and I would like to use it as I prefer this over newer keyboards.
any suggestions?
I have an old computer but its packed away I could test the keyboard on - but lets assume this keyboard works but not with my computer - would that make sense if previous microsoft natural keyboard elites worked but this one doesnt the other ones were a different model...
