Old Mobo & New PSU

My friend needs a new PSU. His PC is quite old, think its an old Seprom (with an ATi AGP GFX card). Tried my PSU in his to find the problem and the plug that goes into your mobo was too big but on mine you can just slide the extra 4 sockets off.

He was looking at getting this:

Hiper 425W HPU-4S425 Silent ATX2.01 PSU

Will this be able to do the same? friend of mine reckons new PSUs ones are fused and you need some sort of adaptor.

Another website states it supports 20pin and 24pin. I personally wouldn't go with Hiper, not with all the trouble they had with blowing up and stuff

I would recommend corsair but its almost double the cost for the lowest wattage PSU. This PSU goes highly recommended for a budget PSU and it says on OcUK's description that it has 20+4 pin so will work fine:
