Old Noctua Cooler on new 1151 Z370 socket?

Hi,

I have decided to upgrade my old 1155 PC with a new 1151 8400 PC and I am wondering whether my old NH-L12 cooler can fit into the new socket... Any ideas?

Look on the Noctua site they make an adapter kit so older coolers are compatible with newer sockets. For certain coolers they will send you the adapater kit for free.

1155 spacing is the same as 1151.

Used my D15 for a 3770K (1155) then bought adapter for AM4 and now using the original 1155 kit for my 1151 CPU.

Should be fine.

Sockets 1150/1151/1155/1156 all use the same spacing for cooler mounting holes so it will be fine.

So that means my old Zalman CNPS9900 cooler I have on my i7-4770 cpu will fit on my new 8700k cpu upgrade...
