Hi, I've picked up an old Nokia 8310 and one thing that is bugging me is that if I want to a large text message I need to send many 160 length text messages. It just stops at 160 characters and doesn't automatically extend the text length. I've looked for a setting on the phone but can't find anything.
Surely the phone must be able to do it or is it too old? Its a 2002 phone. I've looked at the firmware and its v5.11. I know that there is a firmware v6.20, but I'll need to take it to a shop that will be able to flash it because a data cable can't flash it; needs an expensive piece of equipment, and then I don't know whether it will change the text issue.
Can anyone help?
