old Nokia "Enter restriction code"

Apologies if this thread is not allowed. I do not see why though as I have done nothing illegal.

I have an old Nokia 6030 which I think I had when I was on o2 years ago. Now when I turn on the phone with my simcard inside (tried different sims and get the same message) it says "Enter restriction code"

I have no idea what this is or why it is appearing but searching for the unlock code gives me details on how to enter codes but for an actual code a couple of sites says "We currently do not have any unlocking services that are supported by your mobile phone"

Before you ask, no, its not stolen or anything. It was bought years ago from o2 and it was on pay as you go. It then went to my mum for a few years and stayed at home since.

Do I need to buy a code (seems rather dodgy) or should I contact o2 to see if I can get one off them?

Thanks
