Old nvidia 275 gtx

Hi I have just picked up an old 275 gtx for my back up PC my question is this, it has two power inputs and connecting it up it runs with only one connected, am I not getting full power on the card that way? I'm just a little nervous to plug in the second in case it's too much for it, my power supply is a new 500 watt 85% efficient psu

You need to fit both as i had this card years ago and your psu will be fine if its a decent make

I had a 275 in an old Dell XPS, it would come up with a screen warning that there was insufficient power, I had to pull hard drives etc to get it to run!

That's a 500w bronze. No problem with a 275

Definitely both. One could pull too much current and melt.
