Old OEM acer motherboard compatibility?

Currently have a 'Acer FMCP7AM' motherboard which is a few years old, and I'm looking to get a new graphics card as well as possibly a new PSU and CPU

I honestly don't know what kind of graphics card would be compatible, as a search for the acer documentation for the product didn't find much, and honestly I know little about the subject.

Could anyone help me out? I have a GT 120 at the moment and it's rather bad.

It looks like it's an nForce 730i chipset motherboard, which means the fastest CPU it will support is probably the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650. Which are extremely expensive and quite rare these days as they don't make them anymore.

A new graphics card kinda depends on what power supply your machine has. An OEM power supply will not be designed for gaming and it won't be able to take a very high load. But you might be OK with something like a Radeon 5770.

Oops, mistyped the OP; I was looking at PSUs aswell as the current is OEM and i'm honestly surprised it's lasted this long.

What would you suggest PSU wise? And for a £80-150ish graphics card that would be good for gaming and compatible with the motherboard (that would go nicely with the suggested psu?)

You might be OK with it... what wattage is it, can you tell?

The problem with suggesting alternate PSUs for OEM machines is that sometimes they're funny sizes.

It's an FSP, so not bad, just not very powerful.

And those would easily be good enough for a decent averagely priced graphics card? The radeon 5770 for example?
