The friend that bought my old 780i q6700 285 GTX system has asked me if he can add a newer GFX card .
Im sure there will be bottlenecks and the new GFX card will not perform as as intended, but would he se a marked improvement if he slams in a card priced around £150 to £200, be that Nvidia or AMD ..
I don't really care what card he drops in (sounds a little harsh but not ment that way) I just don't want to give him any misleading information and say "yeah, you can do that its fine it will work great" only to reveal it was a total waste of tme .
I did suggest he ask on a forum or try's to source another 285GTX and SLI them, but he's already sold that card on.
I apologise about the title ... I know the 780i isn't a p-35 board ...
