Old PC Help

Hello,
I ahve an old pc pentium 3 and so on which I ahve formatted the drive and reinstalled xp. (It had xp on before) and since the reinstall the entire system just freezes at random times. Cannot seem to find a trigger point or operation to do it, it is just random. Can anyone try and help give any ideas to fixing this problem?

Have you updated the drivers ?

Where do i get the correct drivers from for that machine?

The component manufacturers web site is normally the best place. Is it a self build or a off the shelf unit ? Identify the motherboard/chipset and then do the same for the GPU etc. XP's bundled drivers are somewhat outdated by now (it's circa 6 years old!).
