Old PC possibilities?

basically i've bought all new bits from here as you might have seen from my other posts its not going too well.

in the time i have now, being bored waiting for numerous RMA's etc. i wanted to know what possibilities i have of making my older pc into a 1st overclock pc maybe? as training as such or even to sell on.

i have in it:

ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus Mobo
E6600 C2D 2.4GHz MALAY CPU (whether MALAY means anything. )
Antec TruePower Trio 650W
2GB Corsair XMS2 CM2X1024-6400C4PRO (4-4-4-12, 800MHz)
Zalman UltraQuiet CPU Cooler

i know i need a drive and HDD but is it worth it? What is the possibilities of this setup? or is it just a waste of time.

also i have 2 soundcards, which is better in your opinion:

ASUS Supreme FX or SoundBlaster Audigy (very basic standard one)

E6600 were pretty overclockable... Don't know for your motherboard though.

I'm running an E6600. Going to pump it up as soon as I get my cooler.

Currently, on stock, it has a Vista rating of 5.3

It's at 25 degrees on stock with stock cooling now. What should I do to ramp it up?

Got 2GB of OCZ Reaper PC2 9200. Think it's at 5-5-5-15 but it can go to 5-5-5-18

what sort of settings will i be looking at? as everything in my BIOS is at auto.

I just bumped mine up to 3.1GHz for now. Will try for more later.

PC Probe seems to think it's max speed is 3.8GHz

E6600s still sell second hand for quite a lot, due to them being pretty much the jesus of overclocking

i'm amazed i never knew this. well i still might be looking to get rid of my pc at some stage. as i've bought my new bits and cant really run 2 pc's. anyone know a safe NB voltage? is 1.5 too much?
