Hi All

I got myself a new PC with the help of people on here, however I still have my old one which my son wants to use to play Fortnite.

This is current spec, doesn't need a monitor.

Any suggestions what I can add to this for cheapish to make perform well on Fortnite?

  • Team Group Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 580 Red Devil 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
  • Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
  • Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler (Socket 775 1155 1156 1366 AM2 AM2+ AM3 FM1 FM2)
  • Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM
  • I also have 2 SSD's

I'd give it a go first, not a bad system.

In terms of upgrades:
- i7-3770K or Xeon equivalent
- RX 6600 or 3060

I don't know if Fortnite prefers AMD or nvidia, or if it needs more memory.

As Tetras said give it ago my nephew has similar and he plays it without any problems.

Hey, just back here for some advice. It doesn't seem to run smoothly so wondering what your suggestion would be?

I have seen I can get CPU i7-3770K for £45 and RX 6600 is around £150ish

Are these my best bets or anything else you can suggest?

Yes I've had a play round but it's very slow to load up and the Gfx are a bit odd - like a wave going across the screen which is off putting to say the least.
