Is PCI-X 1 compatable with PCI-X 2.0 ??

What it is , I'm upgrading my system - new mobo / CPU / RAM ,but I plan to use my old X850 XT ( PCI-X 1.0 ) in it for a few weeks before i get another graphics card.
 
Yes I mean PCI express

HEADING over to OCUK to check out graphics cards right now
 
Ok loadsamoney, I'll put my old card in the new mobo but if it doesnt work I want YOU to buy me a new card & mobo and pay me for the inconvienience - fair enough ??
