Can you still get internet access on a 3G phone using WIFI ? I'm assuming it's impossible to access the internet using 3G with a phone that was released in 2014. Are there any workarounds? I'm asking for an acquaintance who brought a number of old phones who is having difficulty selling them on.

Potentially issues with software compatibility and security going online with phones that old now, as above though 2G (Edge) connectivity should still work but the performance is often not great these days even compared to what it used to be back in the day.
