I have a Google Pixel, 2016 4GB variant and for the most part it's been awesome... Well up until 2024 anyway! I'll be using snapchat or whatsapp and even though it says 45%+ it'll just crash and I have to reboot. Other times it will say I have good battery life, then crash and suddenly I have only 1%. So I'm thinking it's most likely the battery!

I've been looking at phones and I really don't know what to get as they are hella expensive new and my brother who is a bit of a phone nut says I should stick with 12GB ram mobiles and not even bother with 8GB! But apart from some Youtube, half the time I'm either on FB, or just snapchatting family :(

So most likely, second hand around £500. Any ideas?

Honestly you could just pick up a new Pixel 7a or similar for £200~ and be happy as Larry. No benefit to paying more for a newer device if you've been happy with an original pixel for so long, it'll be a massive upgrade regardless.

Nice, Xiaomi phones are really nice once you get used to the changes they make to the look and feel...feels a little like there is an iOS influence but it's fine! I've got a 14.
