old problem has reappeared

It's with my SSD - Crucial M4 128GB. The HD LED activity light is on 100% the time (not even flickering) and some programs just wont even load anymore. Sometimes Windows 7 wont restart unless I manually press the restart button on the case. When opening things like My Computer or Control Panel it will sometimes take 20 seconds to actually show something on the open window. Other software like Office opens instantly so I don't know what to do. I tried doing a disc error check but the problem is still there.

I have the latest firmware.

Strangely having disconnected and reconnected the SATA cable to the SSD the problem seems to have stopped. I really have no clue what is wrong with it as it was still freezing when I booted safe mode.
