Hi all,
Having a prob with some new RAM.
Im doing up this old Toshiba sat pro 6000 for my dad. Current ram has NEC Chips and its Elpida brand 128 MB 144pin Laptop form factor.
Heres the info off the sticker:
MC-451CD642XS-A75
0150K22052
PC133S-333-542-B1

i bought this stuff (auction number 330244586721 on a popular auction site)
Heres the info from the sticker:
Mem-Zilla 512MB SDRAM 133mhz
SO-DIMM-TSOP
12-10344-06-L83-08C
64X08 - CL2

Its 144 pin, and if fits perfectly. But when i power up i get bios beeps, presumably telling me it doesnt like the RAM, screen does not come on and it makes no attempt to boot, ive reseated it. changed the slot and im not trying to use it with the old 128 stick.

It the ad states its only compatible with a list of specific laptops. But i figure if its PC133 (133mhz?)/144PIN /and its 512mb or less it will run fine with this lappy..
Im hoping i have just bought the wrong stuff so i can resell it, can you see any incompatibilities in that ram choice??? or is it duff memory??

unfortunately i don't have access to any other laptops to test, i used to be an IT techy but i think i have become a bit rusty!! :p
