Hi guys and gals,

Got a question for you.. I got the retail version of Microsoft Office 2000 Professional and FrontPage 2000. A friend of mine needs an Office program.. well, mostly Word, Excel and Powerpoint.. but in any case.. They have not been installed for several years, but I did register the products when I used them the first time.. the Laptop they were on are now long gone though.. would there be a problem if I gave them to her and she installed them on her puter? I know for a fact its a 1 person/user product.. Or would I have to be there just incase I need to call up for a reactivation?!?

Thank you for reading and for any suggestions at all in this matter! :)

Cheers
Tom

If these are retail versions you can indeed pass them on to another person.
So long as they are currently not installed anywhere else.

If however you've used those products to purchase "upgrades".
For example if you purchased an upgrade to Office 2003 using your old Office 2000 product as the upgrade path, then basically your old Office 2000 licenses no longer exist - they are part of the product you upgraded to.

Thank you Stoofa, for your reply! They are not installed anywhere else and no, I have not used these products as an upgrade path to another Office package!

Cheers
Tom
