The spec of my rig is in my signature. I just ran 3DMark 01 for the first time, silly me tried running 3DMark 05 at first, was fun watching my pc struggle :p, however I managed to score 11800 in '01, is this what I should be expecting from my rig?, more?, less?.

Hmm... interesting. Well thanks for that, at least now I know my rig is underperforming and that I should be expecting more.

Thanks. :)

The fact that you only have 512mb Ram may well be limiting your score, if you went up to 1gb then you ought to see a fair improvement in gaming performance as well and it is a fairly cheap upgrade at ~£25 for a further 512mb stick :)

I doubt it tbh, my Ti4600 rig only had 512MB...

It's normally better to bench with 512MB since you can (often) clock it better than 1GB or 2GB.

To the OP - make sure you have Vsync off, FSAA and AF to application preference and try to run your desktop in 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz when running 3DMark 2001.

If you really want to go for decent scores, use Win2k and (probably) an older driver set for your gfx card (not sure of the best ones for Nvidia).

I'm only thinking that 3dmark01 is more of an all-round test so the graphics card is much less important especially as the 6800 series isn't particularly optomised for it and notably scores quite poorly. Your CPU was also quite a bit faster but you could well be right.
